"The purpose of AMT is to shine a spotlight on exciting new work in today's very crowded environment which now includes not just theater and film, but television, streaming services, youtube, Tik-tok and more.  While there is validity in all these platforms, we believe that theater provides a thrill the others don't; a perfect marriage between the written word, live performances and an audience which is not only present but active in the overall experience.  Towards that end, Tom Cavanaugh's exciting new play "Barklee" is one we are proud to present.  A funny, poignant, imaginative tale of a service dog (played by a live actor), who learns trust and loyalty by being assigned to a troubled kid.  It is also a powerful story on the needs of those who depend on service dogs to help them get through life when they have difficulty doing it on their own.  "Barklee" is an important story of our times, filled with humor and strength.  We hope you enjoy it as much as Barklee enjoys his afternoon snacks!"
